I must say I feel very stupid, but I resolved the issue. I have rebuilt my HTPC 7 times now to try and get it right, plus an upgrade of CPU, MOBO, RAM and OS. I have MP v1.1.0 RC1 running perfectly on my system (tv server not configured yet). BUT I have spent the last hours trying to work out why DVD's played back with and without forced subtilies. Found it was the video decoder. Then all of a sudden I had sound for everything except FLV files. I changed codecs a milion times, reconfigured, re-imaged back and forth - lucky I have plenty of space on my server :P I just could not work it out, it did not make sence, all the codecs where there, but the Menu system and FLV files had no audio. In the end, I HAD PRESSED "M" on my keyboard which muted that side of MP. OH MY GOD..... I feel so stupid, but worth putting in here just in case anyone else has a similar problem. FYI.... I did so many changes back and forth I pretty much can not remember. I also solved the waking from sleep issue, by using a scheduled task that runs when Power Event ID:1 happens (resume from sleep) to launch MP. I have media portal set to "restart" but it never does :P. So that fixes that issue :) Current config is Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Acronis*True*Image*Home 13.0.6053 Unknown Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.0.45.2 Unknown C-Media PCI Audio Device Unknown CyberLink PowerDVD 9 9.0.1501 Unknown EVEREST Ultimate Edition v5.30 5.30 Unknown MediaPortal StreamedMP Skin 0.9.1013 0.9.1013.0 Unknown MediaPortal TV Server / Client 1.1.0 RC1 Unknown MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1 Unknown Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable 8.0.56336 Unknown Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.4148 9.0.30729.4148 Unknown MySQL Server 5.1 5.1.38 Unknown NVIDIA Display Control Panel 1.10 Unknown NVIDIA Drivers 1.10 Unknown UltraVNC 1.0.8.2 1.0.8.2 Unknown Windows 7 Logon Background Changer 1.3.4 Unknown System Specs; Computer Type ACPI x64-based PC Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385 DirectX DirectX 11.0 CPU Type DualCore AMD Athlon II X2 250, 3000 MHz (15 x 200) Motherboard Name Gigabyte GA-M720-US3 (4 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394) Motherboard Chipset nVIDIA nForce 720D, AMD K10 System Memory 4096 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM) DIMM3: Corsair Dominator CM2X2048-8500C5D 2 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) DIMM4: Corsair Dominator CM2X2048-8500C5D 2 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) BIOS Type Award Modular (09/16/09) Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS (512 MB) Audio Adapter C-Media CMI8738 Audio Chip Audio Adapter nVIDIA MCP78 - High Definition Audio Controller Disk Drive ScriptLogic Virtual HDD (100 GB) Disk Drive WDC WD1600AAJB-00PVA0 ATA Device (149 GB, IDE) Optical Drive PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-217 ATA Device SMART Hard Disks Status OK Partitions C: (NTFS) 100.1 GB (81.6 GB free) E: (NTFS) 49997 MB (48288 MB free) F: (NTFS) 100.1 GB (81.9 GB free) Total Size 249.1 GB (210.7 GB free) Input Keyboard Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard Keyboard Microsoft eHome MCIR Keyboard Keyboard Microsoft eHome Remote Control Keyboard keys Network Adapter Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) :sorry: for all the info, Everest is easier than typing :o
