    Hello,
After formating my computer to try to solve this strange problem, it is still there!
When I install TV Server, I don't get SQL config dialog box. It goes to the error saying the database could not be upgraded and asking if it should recreate it. Of course, it fails.

How can I go to the SQL config dialog box?
    Thanks,

    JC

I would start by removing and reinstalling SQL.
If that doesn't work try use the other SQL server.
i.e. if you are using Microsoft SQL try MySQL and vice versa

Uninstall - reinstall doen't change anything. Even a complete format doesn't help.
I would better keep MSSQL server. Additionnaly, I can not get the connection setting screen, I don't think changing the DB server would change anything, but I didn't try.

    Hi,

I use the version where the links point (in the download SVN topic)
I just followed the links and install what I've downloaded.

I followed the Wiki setup guide, but I have to admit I didn't tried the video tutorial.
I will try and let you know the result.

Just for information, I used the same setup procedure from a lot of different version, and suddenly, it didn't work anymore.
I believed I made something wrong or broke something, it's why I formated the PC.

I am seing the exact same problem on Vista with SQLServer Express 2005 SP2.
I tried uninstalling and then removing the TV Server directory completely as well as the database but still no database settings dialog. I have the right configuration of SQL Server and prior to the upgrade to a later TV server build everything was working.

Where are the connection settings stored? There must be something remaining from a previous installation..
