When installing the first RC4 svn , i just have no text at all anywhere in MP .
Nothing in the log that i could identify.

it seems that something went wrong during the installation.

    please:
    1. uninstall RC4
    2. delete or rename the old MediaPortal folder
    3. do a clean install (do not use any old setup/config file(s) )

if the issue is still occuring please test it with "english" as language instead of "french".

please also test a other skin.

    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mediaportal/MediaPortal_0.2_RC4.zip?download
    and choosing a mirror.
Sorry for convenience. Don't understand this.

    Regards

    Really sorry for this

    Yes it was.
I'm sure i downloaded RC4, clicking the link on the svn download page, about 3 days ago....This is here i saw it was released... Then i followed one of the mirrors, didn't remember wich one , and had a file called MediaPortal_0.2_RC4.zip.
I extract it and started to uninstall RC3 to Update to RC4.
As i had a big crash at each MP startup, i went back to my backup of RC3 and waited today to make more tests.
What i didn't saw is that the version i got was RC3.
There can be no doubt because i made a full clean MCE install today and unzipped the RC4 file i had saved on my usb key.
Don't know more about what happened with the mirror.
