Please see the attached picture: a file containing ";" (semicolon) in the file name doesn't show the small thumbnail next to the text, although the thumbnail file is generated and displayed when the file is highlighted. Same file with the semicolon removed shows the icon without any problem. Similar problem in other display modes.

Yes it's true. This happens if you check option "Leave a thumb in a recording folder" in Thumbnails/TV-Video thumbs section. If this option is not checked, then thumbnails is visible. I will check this.

Thanks, Deda! It is very nice to have a workaround, but as long as we give users an option to "Leave a thumb in a recording folder" and it doesn't work properly, it is still a bug. Semicolon is a valid character in the file name and it should not be treated differently from other valid characters.

In fact, I would prefer to leave a thumb in a recording folder because I am using two operating systems on same data space.

I'm just debugging that, strange thing which I found is if this option enabled, thumbs is created in Mportal config folder -> MediaPortal\thumbs\Videos directory and in shared folder where file is, so that option "Leave in recording folder" is somehow strange :) as thumb file is created in two places.

I tried unchecking "Leave a thumb in a recording folder" and in my case the new thumbs are only created in thumbs\Videos. The thumbnails are displayed properly in this case.

You are welcome! Why is the status still [confirm] instead of [bug]?

This bug is still in 1.2.0 alfa. Will it be fixed in upcoming beta?

Code which causes that is in Core/GUILib -> GUIImage.cs line 704:

    foreach (string file in textureFiles.Split(';'))
    {...

";" is used to separate multi texture image files so that's why texture filename which contain ";" fails.

Don't know how to help in this because filename comes from many places within MP code.

If someone more skilled in GUI and image code can see how this can be fixed.
