    Hi again all MP members,

Just when I thought everything was perfect - it broke (for good it seems). I spent last weekend (28-29 March) re-installing my OS and MP to have a clean, fresh machine after a year and a half of fixing, patching and experimenting.

I got everything installed and running absolutely perfectly with no hangups, hookups or crashes and I even spent about six hours on Sunday copying old VHS video cassettes onto the hard drive via the Aux AV Input on the Hauppauge TV Card. I was very happy and finally backed my system up with the "perfect installation".

However, on Friday evening (yesterday, 3 April) I scheduled a recording and checked a little later to make sure it had started. It hadn't. I then tried to do several more manual and scheduled recordings without success. Trying to view any television channel produces one of two messages: 1) "Unable to start timeshifting - Unknown error" or 2) "Unable to start timeshifting - No Video or Audio detected".

I have spent this entire morning (Saturday, 4 April) restoring my backups (the one I made last weekend and the last one before re-doing my system) & uninstalling and re-installing the TV cards and their drivers (many times). The system absolutely refuses to tune to any channel or do any recording. Scanning of the TV cards within TV Server Config works and all the channels are present. Everything else also works fine (Movies, Pictures, Music) and I have no problems starting the PC, TV Server or MP. My last thought is a hardware failure (both TV cards?), but the Device Manager shows everything is there and working properly.

I've attached my logs and updated my system specifications. If someone could please have a look as I'm no longer sure what to look for or try anymore. I feel like throwing the PC into the street or over the cliff into the sea.

    Thank you and Best Regards
    Rich

Yes, I suspect that. My TV viewing and recording problems started with version 1.0.0.0......................
