no TV picutre after installing ATI 9.2 (1 Viewer)

Hi everbody,

recently installed the new graphic driver for my Ati 3450, which is version 9.2. Now there is no TV and DVD picture within MP anymore, but sounds works. Also PowerDVD works fine. Previously I was using driver version 8.12. Anyone encountered the same problem and got a solution? I am using MP 1.0, and a FireTV Card

I have exactly the same video card ati 3450 and have no problem with catalyst 9.2 under XP using a firedtv card.

I got a HD3470 here, and after 9.2 install the UI would disappear ad hoc. I would have to navigate through memory to play a video and then stop it or provoke a command that would case the UI to reload on the screen. It's annoying and I think I might go back to a previous version of catalyst...

PS: No I don't have the screensaver setting activated.

The 9.2 driver has reported many bugs, such as errors with DXVA, and lower performance. A national hardware site did several tests wit 8.12, 9.1 and 9.2, and they concluded that 8.12 was the most stable and had better performance in most games and tasks. I'll stick to 8.12 until some better comes out...

EDIT: I use the HD3650 myself....

Reverted back to 8.12, and still have the same issue. Could be a Vista update thats causing this problem? I
ll recheck my Catalst settings again later tonight.

where can I get the 8.12 driver for xp media center? On the ati HP I can only find old drives for XP64...

ok, found 8.12, installed it, but still no picutre in MP. Strange, as before I installed and deinstzalled 9.2, it worked fine with 8.12....

... and fixed. disabled Catalyst A.I.

actually I 'm not quite sure if it was the disabled Catalyst A.I.. Tried several things... could have been setting Smoothvision on "use application settings" as well. Just try. Must be something in the 3D menu, though
