Hi there.
Have built many PC's but, this is my first HTPC. Got a few problems but, will deal with them one at a time.

First:

When MP wakes up from suspend ALL sound works EXCEPT AC3 on videos/movies.
Videos that have MP3 audio work fine.
TV sound works fine including Dolby Digital on the Hi-Def channels
Music works fine.

The same happens if I use Hibernate.

The only way I can get AC3 audio on videos (inc. movies) working again is to do a full system restart.

If you need any extra info please let me know and it would be advisable to also inform me of how to source said info as said earlier this is my first attempt at a HTPC.

Thanks
Leon

Quick update.
DVD's do NOT have sound either.
Also DVD's and video files play with sound outside of MP. (i.e Windows Media Player)
So this must mean the problem exists with the MP internal player right??

Cheers
Leon

FIXED!!

After a lot of playing around I discovered that changing the 'Audio Renderer'
From: DirectSound : HD Rear Output
To: Default DirectSound Device
on both the 'Movies' and 'DVD' sections of MP config solved the problem.
:sorry: for the waste of space. However this info may help someone else.

I will no doubt have further questions down the track if I can't figure out how to fix outstanding problems.

Cheers
Leon
