Hello,

First off, I'm sorry for not using the standard reporting form as Media Portal Test Tool crashes on me upon startup with the following .NET slant:

502531772_983d887719_o.gif

Anyway, Media Portal works pretty damn well on my machine, it plays mp3's, shows images, weather reports, sudoku and whatever, but I can't make it display ANY video - be it DVD, or .avi on the hard disk. I have no TV cards in the system as of now.
There's no error message when trying to play video - the remote / mouse /keyboard click on the video icon is just ignored.

At a video play attempt, following message goes to the logfile:

My system is a VIA EPIA CN10000G box with all the latest drivers, DirectX and .NET runtimes. I have tested MP 0.2.2 and nightly builds - with the same results.

Please let me know if you need more details - I'd appreciate your help.

    Hi,
Can you attach full MediaPortal.log to your post when this error occurs?
Could be something related to soundcard.
Do you have all updates from windows update?

    Regards
    Roy
