Synopsis: Xvid/Divx files play perfectly in WMP10, but trying to start one from MP does nothing. Please see log extract below.

Help would be greatly appreciated. Hoping to build a HTPC to use instead of XBMC that I am using at the moment, but I want to get a good media centre working first.

I sounds strange, but I just changed the audio renderer to "Default DirectSound Device". That solved the problem.
