I am very new at using MP and enjoying the experience apart from every 5 minutes while MP is activated there is a noise (like a digital glitch) it does not happen in Windows or MPsetup (when trying to find how to fix it). After searching through the forum I checked it wasn't a My Alarm setting, but unfortunately it wasn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds a bit different, but I had a background noise that turned out to be caused by not muting all the unused inputs (like microphone sound playing through the speakers etc).

you could also try different audio codecs (through the setting in media portal), and the standard make sure your drivers and directx are up to date.

on a side note, that TV card you have works alright doesn't it? I were thinking of getting one. is the one with digital and analogue? does it do hi-definition and FM? (the web site doesn't seem to specify and it is not specifically on the media portal supported list (although similar models are))
