ever since my upgrade to version 2.0 I seem to be getting a line of noise on the top of some channels. its just one pixel high but looks like white snow.

Any ideas on how to either crop this or remove it?

You could just use the calibration settings to shift the screen up a pixel, or scale it until it is off the screen. Shifting would probably be the best option if you are trying to keep a 1:1 pixel ratio with your screen.

would this calibration be in the Media Portal Configuration, the Capture Card Configuration, or the Video Card Configuration?

It is within MediaPortal under the Settings menu.

Edit: To clarify, that means within the actual program, not in the separate configuration application.

The "white snow" is probably the teletext information. This is not normally visible - TV's normally eliminate it using overscan. On very old TV's with vertical hold (Vhold) adjust you could 'lower' the picture to make the teletext lines visible.

As jawbroken advised, adjusting the overscan in 'Settings' is the easiest way to fix.

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
