Hello all,

I'm quite new here, I'm using MP for the last 6 months, basically as a movie player, sourcing movies from DVDs and from a network server (Divx, Mpeg).
I works amazingly well, I really love it!
Now I qant to add a TV tuner, in manner to watch and record DVB-T transmissions.

I read the MP supported TV card list, and read also the forum, but want to do a samll question:

Would you be so gentle to list me yout TV tuner, in manner to make a list of all the real TV tuner which are compatible with MP, o I can choose mine?
I write this cause I don't think the list reported in the MP site is exhaustive, and I'm afraid I would miss a lot of good (and cheap) TV tuner alternatives.

For example, what about the PEAK TV tuners?

I would like to find a cheap and nice DVB-T tuner (maybe dual, but thisisn't necessary), preferably with CI-CAM support.

Can you help me?

best regards,
Givoanni Albergoni

    AW: Noob TV tuner question

Due to the huge list of available TV-Cards, this list wouldnt be easy to manage. In short, all Cards with BDA-Driver *should* work with MP. Tho I have to admit there are - as always - more or less problems with some cards, e.g. when it comes to resuming.

I guess it would be much easier if you choose one card you like and ask again, if any user here uses that card. So you could see, if it works well with MP.

    Regards.

    Thank you for the answer.

As you told, there's a lot of TV card out there, and all of them with some sort of problem.

This is mainly the reason for my post: I could search for a TV tuner, then try to check if it works or not with MP...
Or I could strt from a small list of already tested tuners (with your help, members) and search where to buy one of those.

    However, thank you very much.

    Ciao,
    Giovanni
