Is it normal behavior for TV recording to STOP when another window is on top of mediaportal, MP ?

I don't know where to search for this in the manual:
If you know the answer 100%, I'd appreciate a reference in the manual or something if there is one, so i can learn, as I'd like to start contributing to community
If you don't know the answer and can test this, i would appreciate it. Thanks!

1) don't have MP maximized, have it windowed.
2) start recording TV, i can ff/rw fine
3) if I drag any other window over the navigation area , ej: "guide," "record now," "active recording,'
then the recording stops, and the "stop record" changes to "record now."
4) if I drag any window over the mini tv playing, all is fine, it's as soon as the navigation is fully covered up.

Is this normal behavior when recording TV across ALL version of media portal?

If so is there any way around this?

It is nice to do things on the computer while it is recording, and it seems odd that it only happens when covering up the guide.

Thank you!

FIX IT HOW TO: recordings stop directory does not exist disappears

Issue was not even what I thought it was:

1) Had not recorded TV, went to try and figure this problem out because MP has been working great with everything else.
2) When starting recording, it would RANDOMLY stop, and then start
3) Could go to RECORDED Tv and nothing was ever there
4) Checked TV-SERVER Config for Recordings, and it had:
All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\recordings
listed
5) However, when checking that directory, there was NO directory named 'recordings'
6) I thought MP would auto create it , especially since it was defined.
7) I created the DIR, and watched it DISAPPEAR
8) Created again, and it would disappear again
9) KILLED TV SERVER process via task manager
10) created dir 'recordings'
11) everything works, MP records even if I minimize it

SOLVED, just replying in case it can help someone in the future
