Normal CPU usage running in a window, 100 CPU in full screen (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Skin: blue
Windows Version: xp sp2 pro
CPU Type: AMD Athlon 900 mhz
Memory: 512
Video Card: Radeon 7000

Now I know my system isn't quite up to spec, but...

MediaPortal seems to work fine with my system, until I do full screen. As soon as I enter full screen, my CPU usage jumps up to 100%. Running in just a window, my CPU is running at around 25%. Why does this happen, and is there a workaround?

Upgrade the Graphics card, is your best option to solve this one.

Must be DX9 compliant.

Guess I could do that...
Honestly, all I really want is a simple front end to play all my mp3s and music videos. I've tried geexbox and the like, but I didn't really like those, and my hard drives are already ntfs formated, and I still need write access to them.

I find it hard to believe that there isn't a program out there that does this... uses low resources, just a simple front end to access all the media with a remote
