Why do i get a NOT AUTH message on the normal (non-forum) pages after logging on to the forum? After log off everything is back to normal. Strange huh...

    Opera, IE both same problem
    Different machine, same problem

Starting to think it's not my stupidity this time. ;)

    It goes like this.
    - i logon to the forum
    - i switch to, for example, home
    - i get blank page with the following messagebox

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; _ISO" /><script>alert('_NOT_AUTH'); window.history.go(-1);</script>

    See attachment.

I'll try without cookies. 1 sec.

Bit longer than 1 sec, but i had to try everything.

Deleted cookies one by one, but problem remained.

Am i missing perhaps a few?

Im sorry, thats a known problem with the Joomla-VBulletin bridge that shares forum and homepage login. You registered with Opera, right? This way Joomla doesnt get the password so you trigger some of its internal security settings when logged in to the forum.

Please try the 'forgot password' option in the forum with IE or Firefox, if that doesnt help send me a PM so I can create a new one manually.

Not solved. I'm having the same problem. Opera 9.5.

    it's exactly this:
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; _ISO" /><script>alert('_NOT_AUTH'); window.history.go(-1);</script>

That's the *entire* source of the page causing the alert.

I've seen it happening after selecting a url from my address bar history, and once more after having selected a url from a google search. Not all pages show the problem, and the same doesn't always show the problem. Restarting the browser may help, but eventually the problem returns.

Well then you have a message.

Btw, disabling cookies on the homepage seems to work around the problem (in Opera, that is). The homepage doesn't need cookies, as far as I can tell, so I think it safe to disable them.
