not quite full screen? (1 Viewer)

I've noticed that when using media portal on my 42inch tv that MP doesn't take full advantage of the screen. there is about an inch around every side that isn't used its just black..

If i switch to the tuner in the tv on the same channel it uses the full screen.

Are there any settings I have missed? (i have pressed the button that cycles through the different aspect modes etc but that doesn't affect it)

What screen resolution are you using?
What skin are you using?
Did you try the screen calibration from within MediaPortal, Settings?

Hi,

i have the same problem, on some channels the it is ok->i guess it is depending on channel resolution. But on some the picture is smaller than the size of screen. it is little anoying and i don't know how to solve it.

Have someone any ideas?

Thanks for your reply, I actually ended up running the nvidia resize screen function which fixed it.
For some reason that had been set smaller than the screen, the windows screen was full screen but any movies etc were less than full screen...
anyway problem solved..
