Hello Everybody,
since i have upgraded my nvidia-driver from 170.X to 190.28 i can't watch TV anymore.
The DVB-S Card works before the upgrade properly. now i get "could not start timeshift - could not start graph ".
HD and other Video works fine under Media Portal. Also i have reinstalled the XP DvB-Fix, but the same problem :(

are there anybody with similar problems with new nvidia driver?
the video performance of 190.X Driver is in my case much better than before... @ h264 1080p runs liquid with max 30% CPU Load.
GPU is 8300 onboard / AMD Athlon X2 5050e
DVB-S2 Card is Technisat SkyStar HD2

thx 4 reply

----edit------

oh sry i overlook something!
The EinsFestival HD- and CANAL+ Channel seems to work well!
The problem seems to be only with SD-TV channels....

is it possible that mediaportal's MPA Codec not work on modern NVIDIA Driver with CUDA Support???
if yes, what is the codec recommendation....for h264 i use coreavc and i'm funny with that.

i dont wont downgrade to previous version because 1080P HD-Video bucks heavy...

thanks a lot for your feedback

hi winterescape, previously thx for your expeditiously reply.

apart from a few bugs, i have solved the problem without downgrading to the old nvidia driver.:)
one of them is the buggy epg over dvb-s(2) support - sometimes it works great but sporadically there where no EPG Information in my Program-Overview visible. so i switched to microsofts free EPGoverWWW-Service
"http://mc2xml.110mb.com/#gbpvr" and disabled the EPGoverDVB Grabing in TVServer-Setup.

now the problem "could not start timeshift -&- could not start graph " seems to be died away....since 2 hours it runs without any error..and i switched between many programs..YES very nice:eek:
I think switching between programs gets faster too.

another reasen for upgrading to nvidia 190.X driver, was bucking tv-stream after 10-20 mins , now its also solved.
i think responsible for this problem was against my brand new TechniSat SkyStar HD2 in combination with EPGoverDVB-S2, but now i'm happy :D

btw...thats my first mediacenter under windows.....before i've testet miscellaneous linux mediacenter's like LinuxMCE and MYthbuntu ,XBMC and FreeVo but i need full BluRay-Compability and HDCP which is already not good implemented in linux yet.

so community i keep you up to date...
nice weekend -
