Have a new Videocard with Geforce 7600GS. Befor that, i had an ATI XPRESS200 with nVidia PureVideo Codec.
With the GeForce and nVidia PureVideo the deinterlacer isn't working fine. n-tv and n24 the scrollbar are very stuttering. With the internal MPV codec or Nero are no Problems. I have tested with deinterlace methode "auto, Video Film and Smart" but all the same.
    Have someone an idea?

    Update:
Change Video card to Gigybyte GeForce 7300GS with the same results.

    Have you activated hardware accelerator?
Then you got 50 fps and scrolling is very smoothly.

This depends on your hardware - with most codecs you might even get better deinterlacing without hw-support. Also note that accelerated mode forces deinterlacing to "Weave" in most cases. (e.g. cyberlink codecs do not use the hw if a better mode is selected)

Have testet with PureVideo without hw-support but without a better deinterlacing. I don't understand that. With ati-card (onboard only!) and PureVideo the deinterlacing was very fine and with the Nvidia 7600GS Card (optimized for PureVideo) the interlacing was bad.
Perhaps is my version of the Purevideo too old?

    Happy 2007 !

Have testet some codecs like internal (MPV/mpa),cyberlink, intervideo and pure video. Only with the internal codec and bob deinterlacer is fine. All others are bad and shows interlaced video with and without hardware acculation. I do not unterstand this. Witch Version of Forceware are you use?

    Latest stable directly from nvidia.

Try the postprocessing area of MP or a filtermanager to edit the codec settings with their own property page - maybe some other app set it to non-default values.

Have testet with the laste 2 Verions and the laste beta version,
Best deinterlaceing have MP`s internal decoder with Bob deinterlacing.
Also I test with Intervideo Win-DVD 7 and 8 - same as Purevideo.
With the intervideo decoder i can not save "bob" oder "waeve" deinterlacing in MP config, At next start of config deinterlacing methode switch back to "automatic". So the Video show interlaced like Purevideo codec.
my suspicton - PureVideo and Intervideo are optimized for Nvidia-Cards.
With ATI the decoders (purevideo and intervideo) switch to software mode. When Useing with Nvideocard the both codecs only working in hw mode.
This thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=14407 sounds similar to me problem.

...except of he's using an NVIDIA card. Destroys your theory.

    Please check:
If you have set "Deinterlace Mode" to NONE in configuration.exe/Television (to turn off the DirectX software deinterlacer).
If you have set the deinterlacing in your codec to something like "automatic" or "smart" (to turn on hardware deinterlacing).
This should work at least for PureVideo decoder .223, PowerDVD 7, WinDVD 8.

If you do this, you should have proper hardware deinterlacing. Running those settings here with my 6600GT.

    Yes, hardware accelerator is on.
    I have tested with a resolution 800x600@60hz an 1024x768@60Hz.

Isn't PAL used in Germany? If so then the 60Hz is causing the stuttering, and you need to start to use the 50Hz modes.
