MP won't find channels when scanning. I've even created a custom .xml with only the correct frequencies for my area in it, as taken from my STB.
Scanning with the Twinhan software finds channels. Scanning with ProgDVB finds channels. Scanning with MP doesn't.
I have an STB that happily scans and finds all channels, and if I take channel configs from it, I can manually input them into MP and it'll tune fine and let me watch. I just would have to do that for all of 300 channels. Which would take several hours of pretty mind-numbing work. And then when the cable company re-orders channels (which it's done twice in the past week or so, to make room for new HD channels that are coming) I'd have to do it over again.
Not fun!
So does anyone have any idea why other tools can find channels but MP can't?
