    This goes out to you mPod:

    I saw this change in the changelog;

    "MediaPortal General
    On 19/05/2006 [15:30:32] mPod added the following change: dialog for wrong PIN for shares added"

    I agree with you that it is a logical failiure to ending up with an empty folder, rather than a dialog when pressing the wrong pin. However, this "error" has been a welcomed feature to me. I hae some folders that I don't want people to see exist on my system, so I put them in a pin-locked share. When people ask for what's inside my "specials"-folder i give them a random pincode ;), and voila... nothing's in there...

    Could this dialog please be made configurable?

    Best regards

    Weird? Nah... I can understand that you want to lock some of the shares ;-)

    What I do is I create a folder Movies... In this folder I put the folders I add as share in MP.

    So it's like this:

    Movies\Movies -> no pin
    Movies\XXX -> pin :lol:

    And I select the first share so the Movies section of MP is automatically started in Movies\Movies.. So other users dont directly see you have another share unless they go up one level.

    Hope this helps a bit...

    Add this to the "general" section of your MediaPortal.xml:

    <entry name="hidewrongpin">yes</entry>

    Available in next SVN build.

    But shhhhht! Don't tell your wife about that setting!
