At the moment when no EPG data is available and I press record in MediaPortal it will start recording but will just keep recording endlessly; that is until it is manually stopped or runs out of disk space.

A better approach I think would be when the record button is pressed it defaults to a length of 30mins, then if the is pressed again quickly after it increases by 30mins>1Hr>2Hrs etc the more times it’s pressed. e.g press once 30mins>press twice 1hr>press three times 2hrs etc.

That way I think is more user friendly then the current implementation.

In my opinion, a best aproach maybe is:

One time press record: infinite time recording (actual behavior).
Second consecutive time: 30 minutes.
Third: 1 hour.
Etc.

So, I can activate a time record, and also a indefinite record.

And I would prefer pantavs approach.
