As I said above, resetting the router can help. I had a problem with MP crashing when updating Extensions from GUI via Extensions plugin.
As the URL "code.google.com" could not be resolved, MP crashed.
After reporting that to ltfearme, he changed the extensions plugin to not crash MP when a site is not available or the URL cannot be resolved.

catavolt, when the extensions plugin was changed and can I upgrade my MediaPortal Extension Installer that it work correct - and how?

This is a fix for installing fonts in skins.
The MPEI installer delivered with MP 1.2.0 Final should also work

At home PC I have no problem with autoudate plugins and autoupdate servers list in OnlineVideos. Only with work PC.

Firewall or Proxy might give you those problems at work.
