Hello

My problem is that, although the picture quality is good, the TV-picture for all channels is just black and white. I have installed the version with the integrated TV-plugin. My tuner is recognised without problems in the configuration panel, I also can find the channels (scanning for analog), but the picture in the preview version is already black and white.

Have I missed something important?

Thank you

btw: I touched no other settings (except for channel searching)
and: in another application (namely mediaportal GB-PVR) I get colors, plus the same cable works also fine with a standard tv

Update: I also tried out the Beta (1.1) with TV-Server with the same result: All live TV is just black and white...
Update 2: Added Log and more System specs

    Hi and welcome :)

What input signal are you using? Analogue terrestrial antenna, analogue cable, s-video, composite ... ?

And what settings in TVServer? (CVBS, SVHS ... )

    Hi

I'm using an analogue cable as input signal.

With 'CVBS', 'CVHS' settings you refer to the "Video Source" (Edit Channel->Analog->Crossbar-Parameters->Video-Source)?
It says simply 'Tuner' in this field. When I change it to CVBS#1 or CVHS#1 the picture gets just black (while audio is working well).

I also found out, that 'Quality Control' is not possible in the settings of my tuner-card.

Thank you for your help so far!

I actually used to have the exact same card, but only used s-video.
As you are not using composite (CVBS) or s-video (SVHS), there is no need to experiment with these settings.

I'll monitor this thread, and see if I can help you when I got more time (if you don't get help from others by then).

In the mean time, logs and (full) systemspecs are always welcome:

I found the problem. I reinstalled the (same) driver, then it worked suddenly.
Although I performed a clean driver installation (Windows 7 reported that it couldn't find a driver), it seems to be a MUST BE to run HCWCLEAR.EXE provided by Hauppauge and choose a complete deinstallation (even if the driver isn't installed by this time).
(Maybe this helps someone else, it is a quite old driver for Win7)

I don't know what exactly the problem was, but fortunately (and quite unexpected) it worked. :)

    Thank you for your time.
