only short burst of audio/video with client/vlc (1 Viewer)

Ok so i redid my whole MP installation, server on my htpc and client on my desktop computer.

Tvserver finds all channels, manual control says everything is ok, but when i try to test the stream with vlc or mediaportal i only get a short burst of audio, no video.

Vlc stops playing at this point, and mediaportal freezes at this point (no crash however)

logs dont show anything going wrong, infact, they say everything is going smoothly.

tvservers log is filled up with "adding file ... livestream.ts" over and over again

tv works fine with regular MP installation

I have been trying the TV-server both with a SVN version and VLC. But at best I only get some burst of sound (especially at the start). I also get a bundle of adding file...live3.ts.tsbuffer1.ts.

I have a system with 3 tuners...

I have have looked in the WIKI troubleshooting section and made sure the database behave (I hope at least).

Any ideas?

I've had same problem with my htpc(neither VLC or MP client works), using 1 Hauppauge PVR 250, and 1 Firedtv DVB-t with viaccess ca modul.

I haven't found any solution, makes no difference if i use analog or digital reciever, but i have noticed if i start recoding manually, the recorded file is ok - with both picture and sound.

There should also be a checkmark or something similar in client - to enable/disable server use or standalone.

I found my solution, latest svn makes VLC to work over the net(on both scrambled and unscrambled), and client do also work on unscrambled channels, but client crashes on scrambled.

well, updated everything, now i get EPG on client but still no picture, and this time no sound either

edit: works fine in vlc with manual timeshift, but MP client doesnt show any video or audio and freezes if i change channel

edit2: last lines in MP log after i have to kill it since it has totally frozen:

This is also something that i had missed in my eager to set up server/client, one small line of txt from wiki - 'Change the SQL browser service to automatic and start it'
