Hi,

I would like to have a look at the TVServer-sources and followed the instructions in the FAQ, chapter 6. Because I didnt want to invest in buying Visual Studio I downloaded and installed Visual C# Express. Unfortunately there is no .svn-File for the #Express-version for the TVServer-sources.
Is there any way to open the sources with Visual C#-Express? I hope this question is not too stupid.

Bye,

At the moment, I don't think its possible yet, purely because the TVServer solution file uses solution folders, which the express editions do not support.

You can always recreate the solution file by creating a new solution, then adding each of the .csproj files to the solution. I don't think there are any solution-level settings you have to worry about anyway.

VS Express does not support solution folders, that's correct. That's why we have the express versions for the MP project.
Unfortunately the TV server project currently NEEDS the MS installer engine (cares about installing the service etc.), which is not part of Express. That's why converting the file (like for the "normal" MP project) is not possible, you HAVE to use Visual Studio 2005 for the time being.

Thank you very much for the quick answers.

...you HAVE to use Visual Studio 2005 for the time being.

As Visual Studio 2005 costs at least 300 euro this would maybe be worth mentioning in the FAQ on the WIKI.
