What NAS HDD do you prefer? / What is the best power management of NAS ?

    and my home is reworked with Cat6A cables, inside wall.

    for now, i use old Cat5e or maybe Cat5 only patch cable.

    i must bought new patch cable, more short for connect the patchbay to my switch cleanly

    gigabit is limited to 120 mo/s , right ?
    1Gbit/sec == 125MByte/sec. But the useful throughput will be less, because of the "house-keeping" that has to be done to manage the flow of data along the cable. Also, I don't know whether networking follows the disk convention (1G == 1000*1000*1000), or the RAM convention (1G == 1024*1024*1024).
