Order recordings in subfolders (1 Viewer)

I would like to manually organize existing recordings in specific subfolders.
If I move the recordings in a new subfolder in the recordings folder, than nothing happens.
In MP unter "Recordings", they are still all in one list and not organized in any folders.

Is there any solution how to order recordings manually in subfolders?

Hi ulischultz,

I take it you're talking about Recorded TV ... yes?

If so, then the actual recordings that mediaportal displays come from the information contained within the database, not from the file/directory structure under the recordings folders. When you do see folders in the Recorded TV screen, it's because there is more than one recording with the same show name, and MediaPortal automatically creates the folders in the list.

I'm not sure if there's a way to do what you want, but certainly just moving the files around on your hard drive is not going to do it ..... in fact, your recordings probably won't play now because the records in the database would be pointing to the original file locations.

Yes, that is exactly the problem / question I have!
Does anyone know, if there is a way to organize the recordings in folders??
