Original title instead of english title (1 Viewer)

I recently did a clean install, new database etc.

Now all movies are showing an English title instead of the original title. At first I thought this might be a new feature in the plugin or something, but it seems IMDb started displaying the English title as main title or something..

Is it possible for me to still display my movies with the original title or am I stuck with the English ones?
My guess is that it'd require a custom scraper script?

(For example, 'El laberinto del fauno' is now called 'Pan's Labyrinth')

    Hello everyone.

I know feature requests should be made through Google Code, but as someone else posted here...:D
    I would second that.

A nice feature would also be a setting which would display the original title, and a secondary title in english/international title, but I presume skins would have to be modified for that.
Actually the ideal way for me would be to display original title for latin alphabet-based titles, and english title for non-latin alphabet (such titles are usually described as "international/english" by IMDb), but of course that would probably be quite difficult.
For example, in most europeans languages I like to have the original title, but for eastern alphabets I prefer the english title as the romanized original is most often impossible to remember for me.

I've also noticed that when I use the "AKAs" version of IMDb (which I usually do) and not the normal one, the original title is always what is displayed. Maybe that would an easy fix for Gertt's request?

Well, I customised the IMDb scraper for my purpose.. But when I went to test it, I noticed something even stranger.
In my current database (with the original scraper) I get this:

    Title: Pan's Labyrinth
    Alternate Titles: (...)
Sort By: laberinto del fauno el

This doesn't seem right to me, the movie would be sorted at "L" while its displayed name starts with "P".. Could anyone perhaps confirm this behaviour?

I have noticed and brought that up before. See:

Didn't really grab the attention of the developers.

Okay, I created an issue for this in the bug tracker.
Issue 874 - moving-pictures - "Sort By" field can contain wrong movie title - Project Hosting on Google Code
You can star it if you want to be updated about its progress.

Also, I'm currently fine-tuning my custom IMDb script. It will allow you to display the original title if it's available and even exclude some countries. For example, if you don't want Japanese films to be displayed by their original title, you can add Japan to the list and then movies with an original title from Japan will still be displayed by their standard (most often English) title from IMDb.
