Is it a pictureframe connected to a PC?
Or is the PC build into the frame?

The PC is built in, it´s a laptop modified to fit the frame and to include things as Wlan, X10 reciver, muse recever(in case of keyborad and mouse use) and bluetooth support for transmitting audio to the stereo I want to use.

The picturefram is from IKEA ;)

The computer is an Dell with the screen modifyed.

On the side i have outlets for USB, power, headfones and an powerbutton

The powercord is yet to be converted to a "plug" since the frame contains a battery enabling me to take the frame with me and place it on the kitchentable to watch the news etc etc

The backside and the top has ventilation so heat can escape, i have mesured the temperatur and it dosent get hot at all, hardy even varm att all..

Wow very cool. Is it a touchscreen and what size does it have?
Much better than digital pictures frames which you can buy.

Thanks!

No it´s not a touchscreen, if this one turns out good then mabye i´ll build a bigger one with touchscreen, the "film" that is applied to make it a touchscreen costs about 100dollars so with this test i did´t by one.

This screen is "only" 12,1" , since i wont use it to watch tv on other than maybe webbcast i choosed to keep it as much like any other paniting in house, short said, the VAF factor had to be high ;) Otherwise my wife would not let me put it up on the wall in the kitchen ;) But how knows, if i get the time i´ll do a bigger one with a 17" to the bedroom :)

Wow, I love this! I've always thought my ideal system would be a central server with touchscreens in each room that would hang on a wall in a power dock but could be taken down while in use. Then you could watch video while cooking, listen to news while shaving, etc. This might just be the perfect way to make some of those wall units inobtrusive.

First off, well done on the build.

Secondly, It sounds like you are using HIP. If you are then goto File --> Preferences --> Alternate Input. In here you need to remove the UP, Down, Left, Right and Return. This will stop the 2 step problem.
