Hello,

I connected my htpc to tv via hdmi-hdmi.
TV - panasonic tx p42g10e.
Video card - ati hd4850.

Tv is full hd, and it support 1920x1080. I apply on htpc 1920x1080 resolution, but then turn tv to AV mode, the desctop pull in form each side and it look with black borders :( so its strange that is not utilising the whole screen.

I update ati catalyst control centre with drivers to 9.4 version, but nothing changed.

There are many setting, also with report's notes, that you could demage display if you do something wrong.
So i'm trying to find solution here.

Regards,
Aras

There is an option in the catalyst control center to change the overscan. It defaults to about 15% and you want 0%. I can't remember where it is off the top of my head but you should be able to find it in there.
Let me know if you can't and I'll try to remember to have a look later.

hey richy, thanks for suggestion. :D
i find at CCC overscan options, and turn it to 0%, but view became zoomed. After that turn off picture overscan on tv meniu and desctop became normal 1x1.

Now i have one more issue
then start to play game "race drive grid", screen pulls in from each side, but now much more than previously.
if turn off the game, desctop look normaly.

Unless your game resolution is set to 1920x1080 your screen has to scale the image. Some screens doesn't do this very nice, my own plasma tv (1024x768) scales 1280x720 quite ugly, with overscan in left and right and black bars in top and bottom.

    what he said :)
if your computer isn't man enough to render the game in 1080, 720 should scale nicely (if your TV is 1080)
