Hi,
I have a problem when pressing pause and then play of pause again. When I do this the video stops in stead of resuming playback.
The really strange thing is that when this happens MP doesn't know the last play position and when starting again it starts from the beginning.

I tried 2 different remotes but the react the same (Gyration and IRTrans remote).
When pausing / resume the video using 'P' on a keyboard it works fine.

I use MP for some time now and installed it several times but this is the first time it's happening.

Does anyone know what's going wrong?

Thanks for answering :)
It happens with the series I have. So I will try downloading a new one and test it.

I tried a fresh video file but with no luck. Also I tried a different codec but that didn't help also.

Please help :(

I have the same problem with my MCE remote and my Harmony. When I pause a video and unpause it, it stops playback and marks the video as watched even if you've only watched 5 seconds. I only have it with since the latest two SVNs though, I have a mediaportal 1.0 setup on my laptop running the same codecs which doesn't have it. Too make it weird though ... it happens on certain TYPES of media. All my mkv's and wmvhd's have the problem, but my divx files for instance, don't.

Pressing space to pause and unpause works fine, but I can't figure out how to map a specific key to my remote in the mediaportal config.

Strange behaviour, but cannot confirm as working fine for me and others, using both mce remote or keyboard, but it does sound like the receiver is inputting incorrect signals, besides clearing settings and reinstalling drivers and reconfigure, do not know what to suggest.

Any tips on what to reconfigure? I'm sure I have no custom remote mappings. Never updated any drivers concerning remotes or Infrared, tried a different codec for mkvs, but since wmvhd has the problem as well, i'm guessing that ain't it.

If your using a mce remote and have the harmony set to emulate a mce remote, then there should be no issue, and certainly as far as I'm concerned, no need to reconfigure.

I take it you have the ehome receiver shown in device manager, this can get corrupted, so always worthwhile uninstalling, then remove the usb, reboot, once windows fully loaded, reinsert the usb receiver, hopefully it will have repaired itself.

I have an integrated IR receiver (Aopen MiniPC) so I can't unplug, but I'll try removing it from the device manager. Also did a complete reinstall of the latest SVN, didn't really solve it, but I can now kinda reproduce it. And my MediaPortal is sluggish to the extreme :(

Can you try something for me?

Pressing Pause -> Play always results in a fault
Pressing Pause -> Pause is okay
Pressing Pause -> Pause 2x times quickly after another results in a fault again. So maybe it could be a timing issue?

The harmony software has a lot of timing options, but I also have it with my MCE remote. If you could test this I would be really greatful.

Did above, with xvid, h.264 and live tv mpeg2, no problem what so ever.

Does the integrated ir receiver show as ehome or something else, may need to be HID device rather than mce remote.

If not, might be worthwhile trying irserversuite (here) or eventghost (google).
