Hello,

I seem to have an issue that requires a hard reboot whenever I change the video source on my tv away from the HDMI the PC is using.

For example, today I configure mediaportal to make some recordings via the frontend on the same box the TV Server is running on. The TV picture was playing in the box, and after changing the video source to something else, the pc no longer responds from both keyboard or mouse, nor via the network via remote desktop.

I believe this may also happen when I am playing x264 movies, but I'll have to re-confirm.

I had a brief search in the forums for an answer, but couldn't find anything appropriate. Has anyone had an issue like this previously?

Hello. I'm 28 from Italy and I use Mediaportal to record videos which I then have to process with another software that only recognize recordings with MPEG video and audio tracks. So, as the object of this thread, I would like to change the audio and video codecs for recordings processed with an analog PCI-E Card with HDMI input...

So maybe I've just overseen the bug in Jira. But the bug isn't a big problem as it only happens very seldom and you can still use MediaPortal, so I think i can live with it ;)

Hi, I'm quite new to this forum so please excuse me if I'm short on my understanding on how this works, I've been trying to find a solution for a couple of days but I've been yet unsuccessful. I'm trying to use an old HP Touchsmart (iq500) as a TV screen to live stream my PS2, as I haven't got enough room/money for a new TV. The...

I don't think that it is clear that you need to upgrade . I used WMC for six years, and have been using MP1 for another six years. I migrated from WMC to MP because it offered more of what I wanted, and less of what I didn't want. But if you are comfortable with WMC, the obvious choice is to stay with WMC on Windows 7. The...
