What will be the best pci-e tv card for mp?
I need dvb-t, and, if possible dual tunners. An hybrid that can get analog channels culd be interesting also.
I founded only the Lifeview FlyTV Express x1 series, but don't know if are good cards, and if there is any other alternative.
Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Huma2000

The card your talking about can be found in the Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT - Twin DVB-T Digital Card PCIe

Here is a link to a UK retailer, I don't know about Spain.

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=510713

A search on the MP forums indicates some people have got it running OK in MP, whereas others had issues (this is probably the same for all TV cards)

I don't have one myself so can't say how good or bad it is.

Is better than the lifeview counterpart?
The card looks very interesting, but lacks the analog and the fm radio support founded at lifeview and the s-video input...
Could be one of the best card for a dvb-t only htpc... I'll take a closer look on it. Thanks.

If you can receive DVB-T and get all channels, then go totally DVB Dual, if there are different Analogue programs available for now and the near FUTURE, then suggest a Hybrid.

ps. cannot fault the lifeview Duo i had, even if the software was basis, drivers very stable, but do not expect to be able to do with it's own software, the same in Mediaortal.
Terratec cinergy also seems to be a good choice, hauppauge T500 not so good with standby\hibernate (there are ways around this).

I would suspect, these Dual DVB Analogue tuners will work fine with there own software in regards to switching between the different modes, how they would fair working with mediaportal, no idea.

Hopefully if someone has one working, they will post and say so.

Also worthwhile looking here for problems.

I like the look of the Digital Now card and am thinking of getting it myself.
It's dual DTV plus also has dual analogue, including FM radio.
There are BDA drivers for MCE but I don't think Analogue will work.

Maybe in a week or two I can post a review ;-)

I checked out the Terratec card but it's not low profile, so I don't think it's any good for me.
Check out the Digital Now site as well, they also have a card that is dual DTV and dual DVB-S (four tuners in the one card ;-) )
