    Hi!
I dont think this is a MP issue but a problem with my motherboard/ tv cards- and ideas of a fix would be great.

I've got a gigabyte motherboard its a AMD 785G with inbuilt ati 4200 graphics card.
Im running my plasma tv directly from the onboard hmdi out.

Ive got two kworld DVB-T PC160-2T card which are PCI cards.

All works ok, but sometime after standby when Im recording more then 2 things, I get a "no tv card" message.
In tv server config the first two tuners (card 1) are fine but the second two(card 2) have unknown next two them
BUT two new tuners have appeared below this.

Does this mean that the card 2 has changed address and MP cant find the old one but it now appears as new?

    Any ideas?

Some PCI dual-tuner cards are actually 2 x USB tuners connected to a PCI USB host controller on the card (the PC160 looks like it has this arrangement from the pictures) - so they actually appear to the system as USB devices.

I don't know if it will help, but you could try playing around with the USB 'selective suspend' settings in Windows power options and/or device manager. Also there is a setting in TV-server to make it wait for a while after wake up before it searches for tuners.

When this happens, if you disable and re-enable the tuners in Device Manager do they then appear with their original IDs - if so, you could use DevCon (see link below) to re-start them via a batch file which is run on wake up from standby.

thankyou, I didnt realise the usb link. I will try what you have said and report back here.
I forgot to mention that its a win 7 setup and the power options settings are quite detailed- so that will be the 1st change
