    Hi,

I have PDVD8 installed on my system and use to view h.264 content in "MyTV".
    I recently installed PDVD9 [v9.0.1501 Ultra] aswell.

However, within MP I can only select the PDVD9 codec for MPEG2 content.
It doesn't pop up in the list of available codecs for h.264 content.
The PDVD8 codec is selectable in both lists as was the case before.

Any got an idea on what is causing this?

    Regards,

    Peter

I remember something about the Trial-version locking out other programs than PowerDVD...is it the trial? Did you register PowerDVD with a key?

I'm using the official version, registered and activated.
Did I understand correctly that Cyberlink is purposely preventing the PDVD9 codec from showing up in MP as an h.264 video decoder?

Any way to get around this?

Quote from another website "The DirectShow support was removed from the AVC & VC1 codecs that come with the PDVD 8 Build 2521 Ultra and PDVD 9 Build 1501 Ultra..So AVC codecs which come with the latest PowerDVD Ultra package are not able to be used in other apps.."

It's Cyberlink's software so they can do what they like with it.

And of course the very last working codecs versions are available as a torrent, look for "dxva.rar".
