The latest build of MKVMerge (4.1.0) supports merging PGS subs. eac3to has supported extracting PGS subs from MKV for a while. Recent MPC-HC builds also support decoding PGS subs within MKV. However, PGS subs do not appear in the subtitle list for selection in Mediaportal. I assume this is because Mediaportal comes with DLLs from an older version of MPC-HC. Is there any way to update these DLLs to get the new features offered by the MPC-HC subtitle engine?

I just noticed that any MKV with a PGS sub will not display any other subtitles, even if they are of a supported type (SRT, ASS, SUB/IDX).

PGS were somewhat working for me but DVDFab has issues with encoding them apparently so some would get cut or not displayed at all depending of the player (MP, VLC...). Therefore I'm still using SUB/IDX.

but DVDFab has issues with encoding them
Can confirm this DVDFab issue. Some weeks ago another member reported the same issue in german forum!

It's working on my side :
PGS subs are working fine here with the same settings as Sebastiii. I think, it should also be possible to disable subs in MediaPortal and enable subs in LAV Splitter.
