MediaPortal Version: 1.1 beta and latest SVN
    MediaPortal Skin: X-Factor
    Windows Version: Windows 7 x64
Video Card: ATI Radeon 3200 HD

    Hello!

I have installed Mediaportal 1.1 beta together with the latest SVN on a fresh Windows 7 Utimate x64 computer.
I have not done any installation of codecs and other things except the latest drivers for videocard and soundcard and so on.
The installation is fresh from scratch.
I have not done any tuning of Mediaportal except from selecting the Microsoft DTV/DVD codec for both video and audio.

When watching DivX movies, DVDs, live TV or recorded TV the pictures freezes for some fraction of a second every 3 or 4 second. Not mutch but noticable. With the codec provided with Mediaportal I hade the same or worse freezing.

If I watch thoose DivX movies, DVDs or recorded TV outside Mediaportal, ie in Windows MediaPlayer direct the picture quality is excelent, no freezing.

What is it that Mediaportal does that makes the picture freeze?
I have not been able to run graphedit on my computer. Does graphedit work on Windows 7?
Are there any other graphtool available?

    /Erik

I think that I have found the cause of my problem.
The evr.log is full of lines like this

    18-01-2010 18:23:40.579 [760]Dropping frame, behind 28.00 ms, last sleep time 34.36 ms.
    18-01-2010 18:23:41.619 [760]Dropping frame, behind 28.35 ms, last sleep time 23.83 ms.
    18-01-2010 18:23:42.700 [760]Dropping frame, behind 69.43 ms, last sleep time 17.90 ms.
    18-01-2010 18:23:42.700 [760]Dropping frame, behind 29.50 ms, last sleep time 17.90 ms.

If I look in the evr.log files on my other two computers there is no lines like that at all.
I have read about other having problem with EVR dropping frames in Windows 7.
But why does it occur on one of my computers and not on the others?

    Hello!

Now when my kids are sleeping I have made the following tests. Logs provided in the attached file.

I have three computers running Windows 7 x64.
They are all running the latest svn of Mediaportal 1.1.
They have the same skin installed.
Some plugins are not installed on all computers, like Moving Pictures.

    The test is as follows:
    1. Clear the log directory.
    2. Start Mediaportal
    3. Navigate to the same movie, The file is located on the computer named HTPC.
    4. Start the movie and let it play for some minutes.
    5. Stop the movie and exit Mediaportal.

In the attached logfiles the logs in directories "HTPC2 log - Picture ok" and "Laptop log - Picture ok" are from those that have good picture. The once in the directory "HTPC log - Picture not ok" are from the one with freezing picture.

    Hope this helps.

    /Erik
