picture quality different beyween TVE2 and TVE3 (1 Viewer)

HI there

just installed the TV server for the first time tonight with MS SQL Express, i have had no problems getting it to work accross my network and from two different clients,

however the picture quality is much lower than when using the TVE2, i have to Hauppauge PVR150 which under TVE2 produce a crystal clear image, but unde rthe Tv server the image is very grainy

Is anyone else having similar issues or no of a fix, im looking everywhere for settings on quality but can find much anywhere,

i know its not a driver issue as reverting back to TV2 bings the picture back to perfect.

I use the PVR500 and experience the same problem with TV3...therefore I'm still using TV2. I do remember reading somewhere that the quality-changes made for Hauppauge cards under TV2 was not applied to TV3 yet.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but is the quality in TV3 currently lower in general than TV2? Using a FireDTV box and I get worse quality than my set top box. I'm always using latest TV3 SVN, Cyberlink codecs and running it on Vista 32-bit.

I was trying to figure out if I can affect the bitrate used by the FireDTV somehow, but to no avail.

I have Firedtv and the quality of the image with Tv3 is--- just perfect
Try using TsReader+evr if you have windows vista 32. And if you have Vista premium or ultimate use MS codecs--

I have Vista Ultimate, but using Cyberlink's codec at the moment. I'll check out the MS codec as well.
