Morning,

I've been using MP, and TV Series for a few months now and am starting to look at a few extra features. What I want to do now is pin protect specific series, such as True Blood and Sopranos. I've had a play about with views and groups, but it doesn't really do what I'm after. I would like to either:

a. view all series then when I click through to a series (true blood for example) I am asked for a pin.

or

b. When I selected My TV Series from the MP main menu I am presented with what view of series I want (All, Adult, Kids etc) I can then Pin protect an individual group.

Either of these options my be really easy to do, but had a play and searched the forum and can't find anything, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

This is how I got my own MP-TVSeries setup. It is not yet possible to PIN protect at series level, but you can do it at view level. So what I did was PIN protect the 'All' view, created a 'Public' view that has no PIN and contains all the series that everybody can watch. You can create many other views as well if you want, such as 'Sitcoms', 'Adult', or whatever you prever and PIN protect them accordingly.

There are some side effects you need to be aware off, such as that you need to always remember to go back to the 'Public' view after you finished watching a PIN protected view, or the next time you open MP-TVSeries you are presented with a PIN dialog. I created tickets for most side-effects that I encountered, which are:

Default view = Issue 432 - mptvseries - Configuration option for a default view. - Project Hosting on Google Code
Expire PIN code = Issue 447 - mptvseries - Config - Expire PIN code - Project Hosting on Google Code

Please star those issues if you consider them important as well.

PS: TagView unfortunatly allows bypass of the PIN protection, so be sure to disable it. This is why your option 'b' can not be mixed with the above solution (also being worked on), but you can at least use the same workaround as I do. And once you play around with it, it really doesn't add that much added work for the benefits. Adding/Removing series from the views can all be done within the GUI via the context menu and if you use the numbered keys it actually goes quick.
