Pinnacle PCTV 110i not recognized (1 Viewer)

I'm having problems with my Pinnacle PCTV 110i (PCI, Vista Kit Version).

MediaPortal keeps saying it can't find any TV Card installed.
I have tried some potential solutions I found on the forum, like installing the InterVideo codec but MediaPortal continues to refuse to recognize the card.
The instructions from the Wiki on getting a software enconding card to work didn't get me anywhere either.
I also found on some posts references to the CaptureCardSettings.xml file, but was unable to locate that file on my installation.

I know people are using this card with MediaPortal, and it is listed as a supported card on the wiki.

Can anyone help me shed some light on this problem?
I am seriously considering dumping Vista Media Center for MediaPortal, but if I can't get TV to work MediaPortal is useless to me.
