    Hi,

i just would like to ask how the plan for the patch forum is? At the moment there are LOTS of open patches and it seems like nobody cares about them.

I think it would be great if we'll have NO pending stuff in there 1 or 2 weeks before the 1.2 feature freeze. So everyone who made a patch knows what will happen with his patch and if he needs to improve it or why it is rejected.

Would be nice if any team member can say something about this.

I can assure you that I am constantly pushing the development team to review the patches section.

I am also aware of the problem that quite a few contributions were not processed. This is partly down to the fact that more and more devs move to MP2, and so we have less developers for MP1.
This is a bit of an issue since every patch has to be reviewed by an developer who is familiar with that area of MP1.

Also new features we introduced in 1.2.0 alpha did take quite a lot of time to get them stable. So most of the dev-power during the last 2 months went there.

Now that 1.2.0 alpha is out, I will see to it that more patches get processed. :)

Thanks for your information. I see the problem - but i think it would be really nice to honor the contributions a little bit more. There are a lot of patches where no response or just a i will look at the patch is. And then we'll see the feature freeze and nothing will happen and the patch got forgotten.

And there are also a lot of really small patches / fixes only 2 or 3 lines. Where nobody has to look into them - just add them to the SVN as the code is actually simply wrong.

    Examples:

I know, and if I would have any code'ing skills at all I would review them on my own. But thats what I need my developers to have a look at.
But as I said, I completelly agree. I "just" need to get a hold on the developers to cleanup the patches section.

I am working on that. :)
