    Hi

    When watching TV or playing MP3-files, the "Play disc" menuentry doesn't work. It just returns back home. If I stop the TV or the music it works.

    Why not just let the item do what the label says?

    :D

    I can confirm this... If you are playing other content the function does not work unless you stop all other media!

    Sounds like a bug instead of a feature improvement. Please provide Mediaportal.log and we will have a look on the issue.

    Logs attached.

    I started MP, turned on TV and went home. The I pressed "Play Disc" and closed MP after nothing happened.
    In MediaPortal.log I see this:

    Code:
    2010-04-02 19:31:50.476927 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: Window: MediaPortal.GUI.Home.GUIHome deinit

    2010-04-02 19:31:54.552160 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: g_Player.OnStopped()

    2010-04-02 19:31:54.630165 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: g_Player.doStop() - stop

    It looks like the call to the DVD I inserted is made, but not much else is happening :)

    Coincidentally I tested this behavior yesterday (albeit testing of a different issue). It worked fine going from live tv to Play DVD. DVD started playing and Timeshifting stopped. What SVN revision are you using?

    I'm on 25080 but 25451 (self-compiled) does the same. Running Win 7 x64.

    The picture for me is the same if I watch Live TV, listen to music or if I'm watching a video from "My Videos" or "Moving Pictures".

    Yesterday I tested SVN 25452, but that shouldn't affect at least the music and video part of the bug compared to 25451. I trust you enough to mantis it on the reports here, even if I can't reproduce it. I'll set the target to RC3, but lets see what happens. I'll also move the thread to RC1 bug reports.

    Let's hope others can confirm it is working or not working and take it from there ;)

    This might be related. I listed a problem in this thread about the Play dvd dialog not popping up when you insert a dvd whilst the TV is playing. I have attached logs for when the DVD is inserted with the TV on and when the TV is off.

    It is hard to say if it the same bug. Your installation isn't exactly free of 3rd party plugins.

    These are the interesting lines in your log:

    ArcsoftPlayerPlugin seems to be involved.
