Play entire show / season? (1 Viewer)

Is there anyway to tell the plugin to play an entire season or a whole show? I DO NOT want the hassle of making perm playlists for every single combo I might want to queue up. I just simply want to select the episodes / season(s) / series(s) and have it play through.

I tried to search for an answer but the only thing I found was for reg MP hitting Y added files / folders to a "now playing" temp queue but within My TVseries this does not work.

agreed, right now that is the last thing I need to make this whole setup perfect for TV shows

Well how about when you want to spend time on it start with something simple, like a Auto-Play Next option.... so when the user starts an episode in a season there is an option to play the next one in the season. Not as detailed as a full quick playlist type function but it's a start and probably much easier to implement..


BTW GREAT work on this plug-in.. it's the only reason I am using media portal....

i also think this is a better option, why would you do a playlist of an entire season? are you going to watch all season in one go? sorry i dont understand it.

Well, as far as a playlist is concerned, it would be nice to have with a random feature. We have times where we want to watch a series and/or a genre and I currently have a playlist setup with whatever we want and have PowerDVD play them randomly (kinda like our own TV station without the commercials). Its great when one of us is sick. We just play a playlist and fade in and out and not worry about a show that we are not interested in coming on or something we don't want the kids to see (Spike TV is notorious for this, we love to watch CSI but the commercials are terrible when you have kids). The play list feature would be great. Is there a way for the plugin to look at a folder that is specified for playlists and list them in a View? Then it could pass this playlist to the MediaPortal play and randomize. Just a thought.

When I have time to re-watch "X Files" (from the beginning to the end) I want to start from the episode? where I stopped yesterday and watch it while I have time for it. And I think, it's convenient to have ability to watch season episode by eposide without having to push "Play" again and again.

Actually, almost all TV series DVDs have buttons like "Play All" and usually I use it

tvseries already does it by asking you if you want to continue where you stopped it. just have to go to unwatched and play the last one and say yes to the question

i dont find pusing play very anothing every 20 or 40 min when the episode ends.

the "play all" function if it will be usefull for you, thats good enought , unfortunatly i dont have time to watch one episode after the other normally, but sure it may be usefull to some people
