I used to have MP working fine, but I had to reformat to solve another issue, anyway this time I followed the guide on AVS forums ( MediaPortal Install Guide - AVS Forum ).

I'm having a problem where the video will freeze, but the audio will continue to play. The only fix is to rewind a little bit, and it will continue as normal again.
I do not use the TV server or anything - this is happening from file playback of mkv's and avi's and mpg's, etc.

It happens a 1-3 times an hour during playback.

Oh yeah, MPC video decoder + AC3 filter.
Anyone else with a similar issue?
THanks.

Freezing here too

 Almost the same here while playing Vobs. After about 10 minutes the screen starts with displaying Red then Green then Blue, then it's normal again. Then after 2 minutes the screen is freezing, audio goes on. After that black screen and finaly MP is crashing.

Anyone an idea?

I'm having a similar problem. When I try to exit tv picture freezes audio continues. If I move the mouse around the screen the underlying picture briefly flickers so I can navigate my way to restart the PC, however the screen very quickly repaints. I can see that recording for timeshift is continuing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tried a reasonable video card, identical issue, different codecs, same thing . heeeelp

I would try to use the MPV video codec to see if the problem is caused by the codecs your setups use and work from there. Not all combinations of codecs work equally well with all systems, unfortunately.
