Playback problem in MP 1.0.1.0 and MP 1.0.2.0 (1 Viewer)

I've installed a clean version of 1.0.1.0 and if I try to play any movie file .avi .mpeg ect , Mediaportal comes up with a error saying "cannot playback file" and then it gives me the file info such as video codec and audio codec.
All my files play fine with windows mediaplayer and it also worked fine on MP 1.0.0.0 . So I reverted back to MP 1.0.0.0 and decided to wait for MP 1.0.2.0 to come out. Clean install again and got the same result as on MP 1.0.1.0 .
Can someone please help me with this problem, please keep it as simple as possible as I am not to clever on this stuff.

Not much worth commenting when none of those posts contains enough information for troubleshooting. Where are the system specs?

Mobility Radion 9000 Video cards

That was the only video card specific thing I did find on a quick look. And for sure I can say that that card doesn't match the DirectX9 requirement -> not going to work, might have worked earlier with luck.
