Playback recording from live point (1 Viewer)

When you are recording something and choose to play the recording you get an option to either start from the beginning or from the live point.

If you start from the live point it does not actually start the recording but it starts live TV. That means that you cannot skip back before the point where you started watching (although you have recorded that).


I could supply a patch to actually start the recording from the live point (i have it working) but i first wan't to know if this is done on purpose?

Another thing: If you resume an active recording which you have watched already, you do not get the option to start at the live point, only if you want to resume or not. Isn't it better to show a third option in the menu dialog? (Start / Resume / Live)

I don´t know why these limitations where made you´ve mentioned. But I would look forward to your patch.
