Hello....
I would like to rip my DVD collection and save it on my HTPC. To get the high quality, I would prefer to just copy the DVD to the HTPC, but when I play the DVD-files from MP following happens:

- Cannot fast forward without freezing the HTPC
- General everything is working real slow.
- The HTPC often freezes when playing DVD-files, no problem playing mpeg files…..

On my HTPC media player 10 is installed. I wonder how MP works when playing a DVD, is media player OK for playing DVD or will I get a better result if I install e.g. WinDVD …. ???

How are you copying your DVDs onto the HTPC ?

What codecs are you using and what is the spec of your machine ?

If you play DVDs via the DVD drive do you have any problems ?

My advice.

Come out of MP and try to play a DVD from your DVD drive using [say] WM10. Once that is working OK, then try doing the same from MP, then try running the files DVDclone creates.
