    Hello,

I have tried searching the forums for an answer, but I have so far been unable to make this work. I would very much appreciate it, if somebody could help me explain this.

How do you make a music playlist for MediaPortal?

Here is what I have tried:
My data are arranged this way:
    d:\data\playlists
    d:\data\music\albums\artistname\albumname
    d:\data\music\singles\

Using Windows Media Player, I have created a custom M3U playlist consisting of 3 tracks from both my Singles directory and my albums directory. The playlist works fine in Media Player.
I then save the playlist as "playlist1.m3u" to the folder d:\data\playlists
MediaPortal picks it up and I am able to select the playlist. I can even see the tracks listed in the playlist.
Only one problem, I can't figure out how to start playing the tracks from the playlist.

This is probably a very stupid question, but I just can't get it to play the tracks.
Any helpful hints are very much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    /Simon

    Hi there :)

If you can attach that playlist here, one can have a look at why it is not functioning. Maybe some "my music" reference that is not available in MediaPortal. Guessing at this stage.

If you browse your music files inside MediaPortal, you can press i (on remote) or F9 (on keyboard) and select ADD TO PLAYLIST from yhr context menu. When all songs have been added, you can navigate to the current playlist and select SAVE from its menu. Then it should work.

    Please return with your results.
