Pls help mod the indigo skin for moving pictures (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm a noob. Can somebody please teach me how to mod the indigo/monochrome movingpictures.xml file to rotate a series of random pictures from a certain folder in the main screen instead of the backdrops
and then have the backdrops in the details screen?

i've tried a few times but it always seems to screw things up irreparably
