TV-Browser is one of the best free EPGs in my opinion.
It's free, open source and the data is aquired legally.

It would be great if there would be a plugin to use TV-Browser within MediaPortal...
Also the developer seems to be open for such a plugin but would need help for it.

i think a plugin for a EPG programm is pretty much useless isn't it? what is needed is such a source implemented in MP's EPG so it could be used for sheduled recordings etc...

is it possible to export the programms database to any format maybe useful for us?

or are the programms for it like there are for the TV movie clickfinder, converting the databse to xmltv ?

As far as I know is that it's not allowed to export data from TV browser to other data bases.
But that does not necessarily make it useless for Media Portal.
Eg. MediaPortal could call TV browser via plug in. TV Browser could have a special Media Portal skin+remote functions.
Via a plugin of TV browser, data for eg scheduled recording could be sent back to Media Portal. That way it would not be necessary to export the database. Such recording plugins already exist for TV Browser for other video recording programs.
